I love meeting new families for consults and hearing that they’ve met or spoken to other doulas before me. Whether or not they vibed with them or not, the fact that we have CHOICES is incredible. You may not realize it, but just a few years ago there weren’t half as many birth workers in this area. Luckily, the word of doula support has spread and many people are being called to this work!
What sets me apart from many other doulas in the area is not only the amount of births I’ve attended, but my philosophy and core beliefs. I serve primarily home births, but for the right client will attend a hospital birth.
Clients that are fierce, who yearn for redemption. Who know in their soul they hold the ability to birth their baby without unnecessary interventions, without letting scare tactics or manipulation effect their journey.
Clients who demand informed consent and truly weigh risks/vs benefits, alternative options, etc.
